The Bioblitz just finished: A marvellous event!

Despite this not being the fungal season and the recent hot/dry weather, our final count for fungal species was thirty-six, not including lichenized fungi. Also, the list included a few species new to the Whistler species list.

It was tons of fun and I heartily recommend going next year! Amongst other things, it was a great opportunity to connect with other regional biologists and enthusiasts in a variety of areas of study. I'd never seen a leech before and I had no idea Burdock could capture a bat!
