Hello, Wondering if someone can figure out what is going wrong with my Golden Full Moon maple. I have had this tree for almost 25 years, and it was about 5 years old when I got it. So, its about 30 years old now, I have had it growing in root bags all these years, root pruning every 2-3 years. It has been doing great in the TX heat all these years, but this year it seems to be declining. Leafed out fine, but then the leaves started wilting and dying out in bunches and whole branches seems to have dried out. The trunk looks beat up as well, not sure if this is just due to old age. I hate to loose this tree, I have had it for some many years. From the time I got it, I always though it had a touch of verticillium, since there would be sudden die backs in some branches, however, it always recovered by putting out new growth. I have been using phyton27 drench every few years, and it appeared to keep things under control. Every leaf seems to have white dots on the backside where the leaf base meets the petiole, never seen that before. Is there anything I can do to save this tree? Any pointers much appreciated. Thanks, Xman
