We recieved a flower several years ago from a friend and have never been able to identify it so here goes . . .
The plant is clump forming maybe 2 feet tall, the leaves are like Jacob's ladder, the stem is hollow, the buds form in a cluster (when they open the flower looks like queen anne's lace - domed and white) and there seems to be a slight scent of vanilla.

    Thanks

Mock orange flowers are not lacy like Quenn Anne's Lace - but I can't help with another name. Are the flowers open and lacy or dense?

  4. could it be gooseneck loose strift

That unknown flower has made a liar of me and a part we moved last year is about 3' tall now -(must like full sun) with the leaves branching off the stalks all the way up. (I took a better look at it 15 minutes ago). When the blooms come they are lacy, I believe almost forming a dome - opposed to having solid petals. We know its not mock orange as we have that shrub planted beside the deck.

Thanks again, and especially for the leads.
