British Columbia: Should B.C. keep or drop daylight time? The province wants your input

It's a done deal. Daylight Saving Time forever in BC starts March 8.

I am not celebrating.

 

I am not celebrating either. I just read the article on CBC.
Annoying though it is, alternating between Daylight and Standard time is a good compromise.
Having sun rise at about 9 am DST all through December is ridiculous in my opinion.

 

This is all about political points. Not having to change is good, except they bloody well picked the wrong way to go. For a government that supposedly cares about health and welfare they sure didn't pay attention to science: https://www.science.org/content/art...me-make-sense-scientists-debate-pros-and-cons.

 

So we're not going to wait so as to align with the States. I wonder what businesses think about this decision.

 

B.C. Moves to Permanent Daylight Saving Time: A Win for Businesses Across the Province

 

I can't understand, how the wrong reading on clocks at the noon and at the midnight is supposed to be a win for businesses?

Permanent daylight? 24 hours per day, all year? Now there's an interesting idea! :-)

How are they going to enforce it?

 

What they save from the daytime, they use at night. :)
