Actually I'm not surprised! The King has planted many maples over the years, at Westonbirt and elsewhere. He is a true plantsman. Our plan is to visit Highgrove (his residence, where he really designed the garden over many years) next year during the Symposium, but we have to put a backup plan in place. It's out of season, so if he decides to spend that particular day relaxing at home, he won't want us lot traipsing about! ;) Cheers, -E
Just another note on this, I believe we will have a Symposium speaker from Sandringham, the garden where King Charles has most concentrated on his maple collection. Stand by for more details soon. -E
