What am I doing wrong here? Tree blossomed really well in early spring but now major leaf curl. Same thing happened last year but I thought it was the late frost. Is it too much sun exposure? Soil is loamy and well drained.

The closeup of a leaf seems to show the leaf possibly attached to a blackened stem, but it's hard to tell if the attachment point on the stem is actually black. If it is, fireblight might be the cause of the curling, although the leaf appearance is not normal for fireblight. Are the stems turning black before the leaves curl?

No the stems look good, they're green.
