A beautiful day to be out in the garden. Not quite the same as my former garden in the California desert in January but I love the colour of our succulents and yuccas after the recent cold weather in BC.

it’s now April and I wonder how your North Shore (Vancouver area) desert style garden looks

are the saguaro blooming? I am kidding of course — tho would love to see saguaro blossoms again (and cactus wrens)

Well, it is now early May and there is fresh snow in the mountains behind our home. My saguaro cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsonia) is enjoying the rain! Hardy yuccas, palms and succulents doing well but hoping for a bit more sun and warmer weather. Aren’t we all?!
