Hi, I'm Ben. Late diagnosed autistic but lifelong anthropology and Ethnobotany researcher. Grew up in Michigan and Pennsylvania, still adjusting to things here after 14 years lol Not sure why it took me so long to find this, been flooding my other special interests of fish keeping and my bearded dragon with all my true passion stuff. As mentioned I am pretty sure I'm still the steward of Lewis Lake. I never have done any more paperwork but still keep doing my thing and stay in contact lol But paperwork is just paperwork. My long term goals for the park is simply improving the berry picking and fishing for the kiddos in the neighborhood and nearby school that I made aware of the park and have given tours of. Currently propagating 16 blackcaps to replace invasive blackberries I'm removing this season. Also growing out and propagating wild strawberries to add to the park among the trailing blackberries and hopefully choke out some other invasive the name escapes me at the time. Compost is compost lol Fantastic fields of fireweed and miners lettuce popped up this year after last year's blackberry removal. Currently removing the new blackberry shoots, planting willow and removing a lot of bladderwort to open up the fishing areas and use as mounding for my Ozette potatoes experimental archaeology growing them in Duwamish territory using local and seasonally available materials. (Sorry about the ramble, it bothers me too) Second season of that, learning a lot and still cheating using grass clippings:( Maybe next year as I store excess this year. It's theoretical and requires a lot of note taking which my autistic brain keeps messing up lol So that's a bit of me. I tend to do my own things but look forward to learning a lot here.
