    Is anyone aware of events around town that would be related to plants, urban beekeeping etc? I'm new to the area and would like to join some classes to meet like minded people.

    In normal times, UBC BG, VanDusen BG, and UBC Farm will all have classes. Many of the retail nurseries will also run workshops. Lastly, there are plenty of gardening clubs and societies who have monthly meetings with presentations.
