"Join us on Monday, October 21st from 10am to 12pm, at Smuggler Cove for our first guided BioBlitz mini-event: a marsh walk, talk and track! Please note, sign-up is required for this FREE event. [IMG][IMG]
This mini-event is part of our bigger Sunshine Coast BioBlitz which highlights the species and biodiversity found on the lower Sunshine Coast over a short period of time. It focuses on observing and documenting as many species as possible, creating a biological inventory for an area, and thus contributing to the larger scientific community on the Sunshine Coast and beyond.
Participants will be encouraged to record their observations on our iNaturalist 2024 BioBlitz Project while our very own Tate and Jen lead the way!
Plus…. The more you enter, the more likely you are to win a prize!
Solo-Naturalists will be entered into a prize draw after contributing to our iNaturalist project, with the prize being a $50 gift card to the @earthfairstore and a mini-journal!
Winners will be announced on November 5th.
For more info, head to the link in our bio or https://www.loonfoundation.org/sunshine-coast-bioblitz
Thank you to the Sunshine Coast Regional District and the Province of British Columbia for supporting this event."
