Learn to identify a dozen edible mushrooms; chanterelle, hedgehog, oyster, shaggy mane, morel, cauliflower, lobster and more in this afternoon workshop with wild foods guide Jessica Wolf. Gather around a fire for a "show and tell" of easy-to-identify edible mushrooms and their look-a-likes, then stroll about the forest to look for specimens in their habitat. Note: This is not a mushroom foray where we collect mushrooms to take home, but rather an opportunity to learn the skills to forage with confidence for your own wild edibles. Geared towards beginner level. This half day workshop is offered in Errington, (15 minutes from Parksville) on Vancouver Island. Cost: $50 per person. The same workshop is offered on four dates: Sat Oct.28, Sun Oct. 29, Sat Nov.4 and Sun Nov.5 from 1-4:30pm Register at www.jessicawolf.ca or call 250-734-1422
