Over the last week the leaves have become very dry and have wilted(soil is moist). I am not sure if the plant is still alive. I was not planning on taking the plants indoors because of the bugs.
Hi all, I just bought a beautiful 18" tall hibiscus. I don't really have any prime space for it to get full light (my citrus get that space) so what I did is I repotted it and put it in my bedrom which has a Northeast facing window. The problem is it only gets about 30 mins. of direct sun per day.

To fix this, I bought a hundred watt full spectrum bulb and put it in a clip-on desk lamp with a bendy neck, clipped it on to the bottom of the stand and have the light facing up at the plant....

my indoor Hisbiscus - slender, about 6' tall has dropped 50% of leaves and has very small pests with tiny spider like filaments in proximity.
Are these spider mites? - very small to see ( smaller than aphids) and they seem to move like spiders?
Plant is desperate looking.........suggestion for killing pests?
I had it in sunny warm window location with open window and breeze blowing through.
Location in Parksville, B.C., Canada. Zone 6-7?

Hi all, I'm new here and so glad I've found this forum! I'm having problems with two of my hibiscus hybrids.

One is called Cosmic Dancer and is my favorite - but it's now developing brown spots on the leaves and the flowers are getting smaller. I live in Hawaii, up on the slopes so it's cooler than at sealevel. There's very little breeze, it's humid, and even with the cool temps, hibiscus do well up here (the common variety anyway.)
Here's a pix of the leaves (first 2 photos): (Is...

I have 3 hibiscus plants. Two I got from Lowe's, one off Ebay. They all need to be repotted, but I don't know if I should wait or do it now. They are all flowering. My smallest just got it's first flower and it is the one that needs to be repotted the worst. It's roots are all around the pot and even on top of the potting soil. But it looks good, good growth, buds. It's around 6-8 inchs tall now. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
