this is my first thread here… I live in Germany and about 1 month ago I bought a Cornus „Satomi“. I‘m very disappointed about that and I don‘t understand why they are so different! I‘m wondering whether they will always have this color or if they color will get more intense.

I have gotten a Greensleeves Dogwood to plant in my front yard. We were hoping to put it in the corner (pushed into the yard enough that the growth won’t hang over our property line) but that would put it about two and a half feet to the left from the main water line coming from the street. Is this the kind of tree that will break through the water line in the future as its roots grow? Thank you

I have a ~7 ft Eddie's white wonder, which I planted this spring, on a western aspect in Nanaimo. It is in full sun, and exposed to full afternoon sun... This time of year it has sun from about 1300-2100. It is doing ok - despite leaf curl in this heat (supplementing irrigation with big drinks from the hose twice a day). I set up a beach umbrella to protect it from the worst heat of the day...

Hi

I saw a discounted Kousa Milky Way in a garden centre today. It was discounted because most of its leaves had black tips. I was told that this was due to the plant needing to be repot.

I asked if it could be due to underwatering but was told it was unlikely as all plants were watered daily.

I didn't take a photo but most of its leaves looked like the picture attached but with the red turning to a black tip.

Any ideas if this might be due to needing a repot or something else?
Thanks

I live in Vancouver BC and would like to plant a couple of Dogwoods on my property. They would be in full sun and in gravely soil on a lawn. I am interested in a tree that would not grow much more than 25' as the power lines would start to come into play. I want to avoid Blight and anthracnose problems. I like Eddie's white wonder but I have been reading about the Stellar series and wonder if I should go that route. Am I likely to have any fungal problems with "Eddie's" in this location? If...

There was a bed of irises planted at the base of this tree, however because of poison ivy and a tree stump trying to grow you could not see the flowers. I bought some brush and vine killer and was extremely careful to not get it onto the dogwood trunk or roots that skim the top of the soil in places. I brushed it onto the ivy and the stump branches with a foam brush. It stopped the stump from growing but i have noticed that half of my gorgeous dogwood looks like it is dying. Could the brush...
