I've had a problem with spreading white patches on a lace aloe. The plant is 9 years old in high inorganic content succulent soil. It recently flowered, and normally appears very robust.

I'm not sure that what is called a "Jade plant" is : here, Crassula and Portulacaria are often confused.

I've never kept a Portulacaria afra for very long, they don't seem to like my climate.

On the contrary, Crassula ovata, and other species oof Crassula are easy to keep in my environment : I take them out as soon as there are no more frosts, and bring them inside when they come back. When they're in full sun in summer, they get a red hem on the leaves.

And it's so easy to take cuttings....

I have a 4 ribbed cactus that was given to me 55yrs ago. Never bloomed and always 4 ribs. I have searched online and always found '4 or greater' and not quite the same. The closest was from the San Pablo region which seemed far fetched. Then today a fungi came up that I identify as Leucocoprinus cretaceous which is more common in subtropical environments which Vancouver is not. Here are pics of the cactus and fungi.

I have this plant that has upright leaves in winter. When the weather gets warmer, and drier, the leaves tends to droop, but it just might be because it's pot-bound.
I used to know its name, but I've forgotten. A friend suggested "Dracaena angolensis" but I don't think it is. The leaves have a kind of groove on one side, so I...

I am trying to identify this plant that was given to me by someone who did not know what it was. It’s similar to a Christmas cactus but it is definitely not one of the “holiday“ cacti. I do know that it’s blooms are red.
It had begun to rot from the soil being kept too wet and I want to propagate what’s left of it into fresh, more appropriate potting mix. Since I have no idea what it is, it’s hard to determine how I should propagate and take care of it. I’ve attached several pictures and...

Hi!

I have a little cactus which has recently grown a strange structure.
It looks like a root coming out of the top, which might mean it needs more water...
I might have seen such a structure before on this cactus or its parent- I have a vague memory of perhaps seeing it...
Essentially I'd just like to know if I should do anything about it.
Thanks :)
