Garry Oak Bibliography

Interest in Quercus garryana has grown as Garry oak forest habitats decline. To accommodate this recent increase in interest, the USDA Forest Service has compiled a bibliography for publications on Quercus garryana and other geographically associated and botanically related oaks.

The bibliography contains 488 citations that refer to Q. garryana, 191 that pertain to geographically associated oaks, 131 that pertain to Q. alba, and 27 general oak citations. The searchable online database is also available as a paper document, a PDF file and as an EndNote® database.

Want to talk about this weblog entry? As of August 22, 2006, all new entries and most older entries are cross-posted to the UBC Botanical Garden Discussion Forums for discussion (you might need to use the search function to find the thread you are looking for).

This is an effort to reduce the amount of time spent dealing with spam (the forums are very good at stopping spam, the weblog commenting system is not so good).

Older entries already containing comments remain open for discussion.
