Celebrate Biodiversity
Celebrate Biodiversity is a group of biologists seeking to promote conservation of underappreciated species through awareness. The group develops attractive posters showcasing the diversity of organisms that deserve more attention.
The first poster features seaweeds of the Bay of Fundy; the second features seaweeds of the Northeast Pacific (the groups initial volunteers are seaweed biologists).
The posters are available in an interactive format at the Celebrate Biodiversity website. Clicking on its image can access information on each species. Printed copies of the Northeast Pacific seaweeds poster can be ordered for CA$ 5.00 shipping and handling.

Want to talk about this weblog entry? As of August 22, 2006, all new entries and most older entries are cross-posted to the UBC Botanical Garden Discussion Forums for discussion (you might need to use the search function to find the thread you are looking for).
This is an effort to reduce the amount of time spent dealing with spam (the forums are very good at stopping spam, the weblog commenting system is not so good).
Older entries already containing comments remain open for discussion.
