Benefits of Garden Pass Membership
As a garden pass member of UBC Botanical Garden, you receive annually:
- Unlimited complimentary admission to the garden for one with individual membership, or free admission for two adults and max. 3 children 12 years and under residing at the same address with a family membership
- Bi-annual newsletter, with news from the garden and articles by staff and researchers
- Discounts at the Shop in the Garden
- Discounted fees for garden courses
- UBC Botanical Garden decal
- Reciprocal entry with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Garden Pass Members are able to visit the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and its specialist gardens at Benmore, Dawyck and Logan free of charge on production of a valid UBC Botanical Garden Pass Membership Card (note: the garden in Edinburgh is free admittance, but the specialist gardens charge for entry).
What's the Difference between a Garden Pass Member and a Patron Member?
The UBC Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research Membership Program contains both Garden Pass Members and Patron Members. Garden Pass Members benefit from annual garden advantages, while Patron Members enjoy special patron privileges and a tax receipt for their gift. Individual (without canopy walkway) One personalized membership card - $50 CAD
Individual (with canopy walkway) One personalized membership card - $70 CAD
Couple (without canopy walkway) Two personalized membership cards - $75 CAD
Senior (without canopy walkway) One personalized membership card - $40 CAD
UNA Member (without canopy walkway) One personalized membership card - No charge
UNA Member (with canopy walkway) One personalized membership card - $60 CAD
UBC Student (without canopy walkway) One personalized membership card - No charge
Family (with canopy walkway)
Two personalized membership cards - $75 CAD

UBC Faculty and Staff We at UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Memorial Garden recognize our unique role in providing the faculty and staff of UBC a place of repose, thought and wonder. UBC faculty and staff are invited to become individual members of the Garden for a low $5.00 annual fee. With proof of employment, UBC faculty and staff may become members and enjoy all the benefits of membership, including free year-round admission and special discounts.
