American Phytopathological Society Offers Free Access to Journal Articles

In April 2005 the American Phytopathological Society began offering free access to articles in its journals, Phytopathology, Plant Disease, and Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions. Articles will be released online two years after publication. Currently articles published after 1997 are available. Earlier archived journals will be digitized and posted beginning in 2006.

Garry Oak Bibliography

Interest in Quercus garryana has grown as Garry oak forest habitats decline. To accommodate this recent increase in interest, the USDA Forest Service has compiled a bibliography for publications on Quercus garryana and other geographically associated and botanically related oaks.

Phragmites Database Completed

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) has developed a database on the distribution of native and alien races of common reed, Phragmites australis in Canada. The database is accessible through the Canadian Biodiversity Information Facility (CBIF) web portal, a resource for biodiversity study with a network of information on geographically-referenced specimens.

The Legume Information System

The Legume Information System, a website focusing on the genetics, physiology and biochemistry of legumes has been created by the National Center for Genome Resources (NCGR) in Santa Fe, New Mexico in a cooperative agreement with the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS).

Plant Micromorphology Bibliographic Database
