Garry Oak Bibliography

Interest in Quercus garryana has grown as Garry oak forest habitats decline. To accommodate this recent increase in interest, the USDA Forest Service has compiled a bibliography for publications on Quercus garryana and other geographically associated and botanically related oaks.

Ecology, Evolution and Biodiversity Seminar

Brian Charlesworth (Edinburgh), will give a presentation entitled The Importance of being Closely Linked on March 23, 2005.
He is one of the world's leading evolutionary biologists. The talk will describe conditions under which evolutionary theory predicts lower recombination rates within a genomic region as well as the consequences of lower recombination rates to sequence evolution.

Evolution 2005
