Botanical Survey Technician
Summer employment opportunity.
A crew of summer field employees will conduct
detailed botanical surveys on Sierra Pacific Industries’ timberlands
under the supervision of a botany crew leader. Surveys
may be conducted on multiple areas of the SPI ownership,
so the Botanical Survey Technician must be willing to
travel. The successful applicant will be able to work in remote
field conditions and hike steep slopes over rocky ground.
Technicians must also be willing to work full days surveying open
ground in summer weather conditions.
Dates of Employment: Summer 2007, May-August
Base Location: Anderson, California or other California district office location. Meals and lodging will be provided by SPI if the employee is assigned to work from a location other than his or her base.
Salary: Depending on Experience
• Housing stipend may be available for qualified out of area applicants
