Center for Plant Research Seminar
Justin Borevitz, Assistant Professor, Univ. of Chicago, Div. of Biological Sciences, Dept. of Ecology & Evolution, will give a presentation entitled Genome wide patterns of variation in Arabidopsis thaliana from array hybidization on Wednesday April 20, 2005. The seminar will held in Michael Smith Lecture Theatre, 12:30 pm.
He is the leading light in microarray-based mapping using affy arrays and SNP variation. Although he has worked on Arabidopsis, he is interested in other systems, and is the Cronk lab's collaborator on the XAM (eXtremeArrayMapping) work they have planned in poplar.
