Phylogenetic Systematics and Historical Biogeography Course
A course in phylogenetic systematics and historical biogeography for Ph.D. students will be offered at the Institute of Biology at the University of Copenhagen, March 7-18, 2005. From the course announcement, “The aim of the course is to teach Ph.D. students the theory and methodology of phylogenetic systematics and historical biogeography. Thereby enabling them to use and critically evaluate current methods.”
“The course is preferentially for Ph.D. students; hence, biological knowledge corresponding to a M.Sc. is normally required. Admission to the course is highly competitive and approximately 18 students are admitted from a large pool of applicants.” Deadline for applications is January 15, 2004. Tuition fee for the course is 500 euros.
More information and the course outline is available from the Institute of Biology. To apply for the course use the online application form.
