Genomes and Evolution 2004
An international meeting, Genomes and Evolution 2004 highlights research at the interface of molecular biology and evolution. The conference will be held at Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania, USA on June 17-20, 2004. As of May 6th, there were more than 500 registrants, but space is still available.
Plenary talks for the conference will be by: Leroy Hood, Walter Gehring, and John Avise.
International leaders in genomics and evolution wil be speaking in nine different symposia:
- Early Evolution of Life
- Genome Evolution
- Molecular Phylogeny and Molecular Clocks
- Development and Evolution
- Genome Evolution in Primates
- Origins and Evolution of Genetic Systems
- Molecular Polymorphisms and Evolution
- Molecules and Biodiversity
- Adaptive Evolution
The conference also hosts the Annual Meeting of the Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution and the Annual Meeting of the American Genetic Association.
A special (low) rate for graduate students has been arranged.
See Genomes and Evolution 2004 website for registration and details.
