Plant Micromorphology Bibliographic Database

The Plant Micromorphology Bibliographic Database (PMBD) is a searchable database maintained by the Kew Micromorphology Group. It contains publication references covering an extensive range of subject areas dealing with higher plant micromorphology.

Started in the 1930's by Dr. C.R. Metcalfe as a basic card index, the database now contains over 90,000 references. Subject areas include ontogeny, ultrastructure, techniques, palaeobotany, embryology and seed anatomy. All aspects of angiosperm and gymnosperm plant structure are covered as well as pollen/spore morphology and vegetative anatomy of pteridophytes.
