First *Omics Discussion Group
FIRST MEETING: Thursday October 30th
Faculty members, graduate students, postdocs and research associates will be interested in attending this first event - a seminar/poster session.
Seminar Speakers: 4:00-5:00 pm Woodward/IRC 5, 2194 Health Sciences Mall
Wyeth Wasserman (CMMT) Studying Gene Regulation by Comparative Genome Sequence Analysis
Bob Hancock (CMDR) Pathogenomics 101: Research to therapy
Poster Session: 5:00-6:00 pm Wesbrook 238, 6174 University Blvd (with pizza and beer)
Subsequent meetings will be held on the last Thursday of every month from 5-6pm (location TBA). There will be two short research talks for each discussion group and would like to ask that people present information in a manner that encourages lots of discussion (that being the whole point of the group). Graduate students, post docs and PIs are all encouraged to participate. Check your calendars and let Erin Gilchrist know if (when) you would like to volunteer to give a talk.
