Position for Plant Evolution Biologist
Please be aware of the following position which appeared on the PDE (Plant Development and Evolution) list-server:
The University of Edinburgh will shortly advertise a faculty position for a plant evolutionary biologist jointly with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE).
The University's strengths in molecular plant science (development, disease resistance and metabolism) and in population and quantitative genetics complement those of the RBGE in systematics and conservation biology.
We are therefore particularly keen to encourage applicants wanting to establish research programmes at the interface between Edinburgh's traditional interests - for example in comparative development or evolution at or near the species level. To discuss the positions informally, please contact Andrew Hudson, Peter Doerner or Graeme Reid.
