Postgraduate Opportunities
Opportunities exist to join the University of British Columbia Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research Graduate Program at M.Sc. or Ph.D. level in Plant Science.
Graduate students at the Centre for Plant Research can also study under the UBC Botany graduate program or the UBC Genetics program.
Degrees are offered in the following broad research themes: plant genomics, plant physiology, phytochemistry, evolution of plant development, biotic interactions, plant evolutionary biology, plant molecular systematics and biodiversity, plant breeding and plant biotechnology.
The program is taught by members of the UBC Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research and enriched by collaborative links with the Departments of Botany and Zoology, the Centre for Biodiversity, the Biotechnology Centre and the Wine Research Centre.
