Postdoctoral Opportunities

Postdoctoral opportunities are from time to time available. Please contact faculty members in the appropriate area. Faculty members will also support application for postdoctoral fellowships from the Canadian funding agency NSERC.

For exceptional candidates, UBC awards Killam Postdoctoral Fellowships annually from the Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Fund for Advanced Studies established through a bequest from the late Dorothy J. Killam, and are available for most fields of research. These fellowships, valued at $42,000 per annum, are awarded for two years and subject to review at the end of the first year. Fellows are eligible for a Travel Allowance of $5,000 to reimburse expenses incurred in relocation or in connection with their research, or attendance at conferences during the period of their Fellowship.
