Today is the equivalent of our Veteran's Day - They are honoring the service of their Veterans - day of Reflection.

Today is Veteran's Day in the United States. It's called Remembrance Day in Canada.

I've been reading Thoreau's Walden. He calls a lake the earth's eye, looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature. And perhaps today, the nature of those who have gone before us.
