Professional Biography

Tony Maniezzo is a Horticulturist at the UBC Botanical Garden. He is responsible for both the Food Garden and the British Columbia Native Garden. Tony received a Diploma in general studies from Kwantlen College. He also obtained a Certificate in Landscape Maintenance from BCIT and holds a Certificate of Apprenticeship / Practical Horticulture from the province of British Columbia. Through the UBC Botanical Garden, Tony has taught espalier training and pruning, beginner vegetable gardening, pruning fruit trees, pruning trees and shrubs, and groundcovers. Currently, he is working on reclaiming neglected areas of the British Columbia Native Garden.
