2008 3rd International Maple Symposium (updated Sept. 27)


Update on Sept. 27: Please use the following registration form: 2008 3rd International Maple Symposium (PDF) -- this form contains information on the meeting, lodging, tours and registration. Any additional information forthcoming and clarifications may be posted to this thread on the maple forums.

Date: November 12 to 14, 2008 (but plan on arriving the day before the conference begins and the day after the conference or post-conference tour ends)

Post-conference tours, if you participate, will take place up to, and including, November 18.

Flights: Book all flights using Tokyo Narita (NRT) airport as the arrival destination.

Confirmed speakers include: 3 from the Japanese Nurserymen's Association, Dr. Yokoi (New Japanese Maples), Mr. Murakoshi (Native Maples of Japan) and Mr. Kawaharada (Propagation of Japanese Maples), as well as Dr. Richard Olsen (Breeding and
Selection Work in Acer at US National Arboretum) and Mr. Dan Hinkley (American Maples and their Asian Counterparts). See details in attached PDFs for more.
