Kafir Lilies

Sorry, is this the place to ask my question? I am a total greenhorn here and new to this.

Hi there - I live in Alberta, Canada. I bought a Kafir Lily 2 years ago and in summers I put it outside. It bloomed real good, and now it has sprouted another plant beside the one and that started blooming this summer and still blooms. My question is that I have to separate them, will it harm them if I do it now or not while they are blooming?
It's getting colder and snowflurries are forcast and I like to do the stuff outside while it is still "warm". Thanks for info.

As far as where to place your questions or comments, the forums are divided into categories, so just pick the one that seems most appropriate. I moved your post here to the Indoor and Greenhouse Plants forum.

There are a couple of plants that are called Kaffir lily. (Note Kaffir can also be spelled Kafir, but is most often spelled with two L's if you are doing a search. I would guess the plant you have is a clivia. Here is a link to a thread that has good info on this plant:

Sounds like they like to be root-bound, so you can probably leave it.
