Re: Impatiens Oliveri

In the SF Bay Area this plant is very adaptable. Handles sun, part sun, shade well.
Relatively drought tolerant, but tends to wilt a bit in the combination of sun and moderate heat. Multiple specimens on my property get watered anywhere from every 2-3d to random q1-2wks in the shade. Succulant stems can be burned to a rusty color with too much sun. Any frost damages it quickly. Does well in a variety soils. Stem cuttings propagate easily. Flowers best in part sun. In a large pot they tend to ultimately loose a lot of the attractive foliage - not sure why - anyone have any ideas about this? Fertilizing???
