Guzmania in Office

I have a Guzmania. The new shoots are turning brown. The rest of the plant look fine. It is in an office building with no direct sun. THe office is a constant 70 degrees. I keep water in the leaves of the plant. The plant was purchased one year ago this month. In the year the plant has grown 12 inches.

Any idea what is happening to it?

Re: Guzmania in Office

As well as Betty I have a Guzmania in my office. The new shoots are turning brown. The rest of the plant look fine. There is no direct sun at all inside the office and it seems that the plant is dying, is there something I can do to save her or is there a reason why the plant is turning brown?
