Night blooming tree

Can anyone help me identify this tree. I rescued it from my boss's office a couple of years ago. At the time it was about 18 inches tall. It now stands over 6 feet. It has recently sprouted a night blooming stem. The flowers are small and white and it smells wonderful, but, I don't know what it is. Any ideas?

Maybe, the leaves look the same but it isn't growing out the side of the stem. It is one single shoot out of the dirt. And these leaves don't seem to collect dust. (Trust me, I have plenty) They seem to shine all of the time.

Thank you. You are "right on". I googled the name and there it was in bloom, just like mine.

Hey paulajg, you had two threads going, on the same inquiry, so I merged the threads and deleted one of your original posts.
