Fremontodendron californicum

This tree is on a private road on the way to my field site near Carmel, California. As you can see, it was quite foggy (due to the warm weather we had been having), and allowed me to take some nice photos. It seems like it bloomed earlier this year than usual (we haven't had real rain since February).

Re: Fremontodendron californicum

Mine, although smaller, will do the same this month. Thanks for posting you pics.

Cheers, LPN.
