Unidentified and purty
I've got no idea what this is, but in Ecuador it blooms only after heavy rain and the flowers last until it gets sunny again (about 1 day.)
An ID would be nice, but I'll enjoy them regardless.

Looks like Alpinia zerumbet (shell ginger). Should have a nice fragrance.
