A snowstorm in Eastern Canada this weekend precluded much outdoor activity.
But in the basement, under grow lights, my four Pinus maximartinezii seedlings are progressing well, since their germination in early September of last year, so I decided to take a few photos.....
The plants are slowly shedding their embryonic trunk shell -- but the cotyledons show no sign of shedding....

    Hi Jaro,

I'd expect the cotyledons to last close to a year, maybe even more

Last week was the first time they got to see sunlight.
The outdoor light seems to really accentuate the glaucous foliage of the plants.
Anybody know if there are others anywhere in Canada ? ...any photos ? (Thnx)
