SCIENTIFIC NAME: Chloraea magellanica FAMILY: ORCHIDACEAE Terrestrial herb, upright, with fleshy roots. Grows in open, sandy, dry places in the transition zone and forest clearings. In Argentina from Neuquén to Santa Cruz; also in Chile. Height: up to 60 cm. Leaves: Basal leaves: entire, lanceolate, long, light green; stem leaves: lanceolate. Strong vanilla scent.
