Airplants

Hi all,
I just recently purchased a nice wallhanging with Airplants. The plants are stapeled onto the wood with moss as a base. I read that the moss is not good and I would have to take the plants of once every 10 days to soak in water. It was suggested to use velcro dots to secure the plants.
Can anyone give me any suggestions how to take care of Airplants. The Arrangement was quite expensive and I would not want to kill the plants.
Thank you.
Elisabeth.

Re: Airplants

Hi, I have mine just sitting in the hollows and ruts of old pieces of log, under a very good grow fluor. light. I spray them lightly with distilled water (only - tills. don't do well at all with regular water) every day and every 10 days fill a shallow but wide container with 1/2 & 1/2 dist'd water & tap water with a tiny bit of fertilizer mixed up in spring and summer, and let them sit for an hour or so, then shake them out very well til next time.

Re: Airplants

Hi Rima,
Can I soak them with the wood or do I have to take the plants off?
I spray them with ozarka water or filtered water. I have a water filter on the shower.
Is that ok?

Thanks,
Elisabeth
