Frost In So cal, Need help with Plumerias

Well Ive had 15 plus plumerias living happly Outdoors for 20 years, and have shared many of the cuttings in spring triming time, But this Winter we had a Really hard , 4 day frost., and now all the tips of my plumerias Are soft and seem to be dead. The rest of the plant is fine , Now do I trim the tips, or do I let mother nature do her thing .
