madagascar dragon tree

Not a green thumb, but inherited a madagascar dragon tree with 5 shoots at varying heights. However, the longest shoot is not far from our ceiling and I'm wondering if I should cut it back, but wonder if the leaves will come back if I do? Also if I do cut it back, how far back should I cut it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: madagascar dragon tree

You could "air-layer" (do a google search) the tops off and then you get free plants. You can cut back as far as you want, but I would wait until mid spring when the plant is growing well.
