Three Pink Petals

I'm sure this is a common genus but one for which I can't seem to find a place to start. I was given a 10" pot full last spring, in Hemet CA., It made a ball about 2 feet in diameter just covered with these pink flowers. I greatly appreciate the time and effort y'all put into helping a novice like me. Thanks, Bill
