On Bringing Hibiscus Indoors
I live in Louisville, Kentucky and have a hibiscus tree on my deck. I know I need to bring it indoors for the winter but when? Just before it freezes? What low temperature? Thanks for your help.

They detest cold, rainy weather and cold, wet soil. They will not reliably survive outdoors north of zone 9. In all other areas, it may be a good idea to bring them indoors BEFORE temps regularly drop below 40-45 F at night to avoid any damage.

Here is a link to their winter care page:

Remember when you bring them in to check for pests and treat if necessary.

Re: On Bringing Hibiscus Indoors
You should take you Hibiscus in when the temperatures begin to go below 10 degrees celius, this will prevent any added stres to your hibiscus. Plus, getting it it before it gets really cool out you won't loose any or as many flower buds. My hibiscus are one of the first plants i bring in in the fall.
