What is this plant?
Picture is attached. Plant is about 9 inches tall with leaves up to 3/4 inch wide znd with spikes at intervals along sides of the leaves. It's a houseplant, but friend who gave it to me said she could only remember that it is called Angel tears. Please, what is it?

I've found it! A friend traced it as a Bromeliad - Billbergia Nutans. Thanks for your help . Marn; I'd been thinking along similar lines until I got the correct name.
