i need help figuring out what this plant is

i've had it for years and it has never flowered and recently there was a span of days where the pollen was crazy and I'm wondering what type of plant it is and if it flowered maybe because of the pollen?

It's a species of Dieffenbachia, perhaps D. 'Camille', Dumb Cane. I've never seen it bloom before. Nice.
