Plant Identification
I would appreciate any help identifying this plant. It does not seem to be doing well. I was left with it after a room mate moved out. I am not sure what special conditions it needs.
Thanks

Re: Plant Identification
Looks like the plant in this thread. Spathiphyllum or Peace Lily. This page lists some care tips. Harry

Re: Plant Identification
It appears to be the same as the one in this thread. A description of the flower would help in its identification. Does it look like a lobster claws or a bird's head?

Re: Plant Identification
What it needs is repotting into new soil, a taller (and slightly wider) pot, and lots of water.

Re: Plant Identification
Took me a while but I see the difference (starting with the leaf venation). Strelitzia or Heliconia it is. Junglekeeper is usually correct in any case. :) I can only plead sleep deprivation, but mostly I jumped to conclusions and should have taken a more careful look. Harry
