What is this plant

This plant is not doing well and I don't know what it is. It has long dry brown stems that grow out about 10 to 12 inches from the pot and in the end is a green growth that looks somewhat like a new palm tree.

Re: What is this plant

Hi, I think it might be some kind of dracaena, but it's barely alive, and you'll have to work hard to bring it back. They DON'T like to be watered until a lot of the soil has dried (which may be the problem), and do like lots of light. However when you do water, do it well. Don't 'overpot' - the pot shouldn't be a lot bigger than the existing rootball. Do fertilize at half strength every 2 wks til next fall.
