Please Identify this plant

Please help me identify this plant. It blooms nice tiny red flowers in spring. And I have had good luck propogating it by just rooting in water. But I really would like to know what to call it when I share it with people. Thanks for your help. TF

Re: Please Identify this plant

Hmm this does not look like Kalanchoe to me. I have one and the leaves are very furry, but maybe this could be a cousin?

Re: Please Identify this plant

Yes there are many types of Kalanchoe. This looks like the one commonly sold in the florist trade. Did the flowers look like this - Kalanchoe blossfeldiana cv.

Here is a page on care:

They bloom in winter when the days shorten. You can force them into bloom by keeping them in darkness for at least 14 hours (uninterupted, total darkness). That's why they are so popular in the industry, easy to bring into bloom.
