Re: norfolk pine

On the care and maintenance of a Norfolk Island Pine? Bright light, some morning sun is alright. Thoroughly water, and then allow to almost dry between waterings (be careful of the plant drying out though). Balanced fertilizer quarter to half strength with each watering during active growing season (May through September to be safe) on damp soil. They love to be misted, or if the plant is not large, haul into the shower stall and hose down. An effective way to wash, mist and water plant all at once. Repot once a year while small until plant is in 12 - 14 inch pot and then top-dress with fresh soil if it becomes too difficult to repot. That's the basics anyway. Hope this helps.

The norfolk island pine like 50 to70% humity othwise to lower branches dry up and they like 60 to 90degrees f during the day and a bit cooler at night not below 40degreesF. Hope this helps you with your Norfolk Island pine.
